darn Ford dealer

Well my moms Fusion got a flat tire, so we got it in the dealer for routine maintenance + new tires, next day the right rear was flat, took it back in, and they missed the badly bent and cracked rim, and they didn't have have one at the time, so they said they will have to keep the car overnight until they got the rim, they charged us 500 bucks for 1 rim.

and I couldn't just find another for a reasonable price, because the car was too dangerous to drive, and I guess they didn't want us driving on the backup either, really sucks.

jesus 500 for 1 rim?!?! i woulda told em to fuck off. why dont u just have her buy 4 brand new aftermarket rims for cheaper than that one rim?

Yup, manufacturer rims cost a lot.

I would have taken the opportunity to shop for new aftermarket wheels, like Luc said.

we were held prisoner, they wouldn't let us drive that car until THEY put on one of THEIR rims. It was for safety reasons, that rim was extremely damaged, I couldn't believe they missed it when they put new tires on, you could see that flat spot on the inside of the rim standing 20 feet away, and their was a very big crack on it too, I was surprised it even held air at all, or how it was even balanced. I guess they have a blind mechanic working their or something...

no. what most likely happened was they knew your rim was trash and wanted to wait to hold you hostage. dealers are all snakes.

we are friends with the owner, he was surprised to see us back, so i guess somebody might have gotten fired for that.

They wanted a $100 just for me to get a spare key and then they added but there only $30 more once we read the code.

Dealers are a bunch of horseshit.

That's why they call them Stealers. And, they can't legally hold you hostage, your donut tire would have done just fine.

Sorry but I can't blame them completely... I mean, I see them not wanting you to drive on the bent rim but pull the spare out and drive away... if they won't put it on give 'em the middle finger and put it on yourself in the middle of their driveway.. shoulda taken control of the situation IMO but OEM parts are pricey...
