Some good looking cars there. The Cobra, '49 Merc, and '70 Boss, and the GT40, really take the cake. Well, what do ya know, they're all Ford!!

#14 the AC Cobra.

If I had to bet I would say that the one in the pic is a kit car not a real Shelby.

1. It has 17 inch wheels. As far as I know all the real ones have 15 inch.
2. Its hard to tell from this pic but the knock off wheel nuts look like a hub cap not a real knock off nut.
3. Wheres the roll bar? You know the one that's supposed to be behind the drivers seat only...
4. Looks like very modern tires....
5. It has 2 side mirrors, should only have 1 on drivers side.

Also this list just doesn't excite me. Pretty much all foreign cars and not very much info about each car...

There are two machines that bring shivers to me, P51D Mustang, and 427 AC Cobra. I've had the pleasure of actually being around both, real ones, not replicas. Really raises my blood pressure!!! The two sexiest machines ever to be made, ever.

I agree the P51D is amazing!!! They made over 500,000 of them back in the day. I'm in love with that aircraft and got chills just now thinking about it.

Yep yep, same here! I've been within 100' of one during a flyover. You can just about count the pistons firing when it passes you. Even at an idle on the ground warming up, that engine sound goes right through you, and the thing just shakes like it wants to fly. Geez, what a machine!!

I love airshows! I haven't been able to go to one in quite awhile though. My daughter used to hang with another girl, who's dad was some sort of shooter for Kalitta Air Service, I probably spelled his name wrong. Through her, I'd get ringside seats at a couple shows at Willow Run Michigan. Wow, was that impressive! I even got to talk to some of the pilots on occasion. Sure seems like a loonnngggg time ago. Man, I'd love to do that again!!
