Default Some questions for residents of VA and up

Well, the wife just told me that she has been feeling the urge to move.
I have also been thinking about getting out of this place.

The only place that I would think of moving to is further north.

So all of my northern folks including VA, what are the pros and cons of northern living?
How are jobs up there? (given our economical status)
Do you find people easy to get along with?
...and stuff like that.

Also, express anything you feel about te place that you live.

PLEASE READ THIS >>> to and of you guys who may have me on Facebook, please dont post any of this on anything of mine. My family will think that I am moving tomorrow and flip out.

lol. Yeah, I kinda liked your town when we met.

I used to live in VA, and likes all of the mountains and the towns.

Move to Winchester. You can find houses for cheap and you can find jobs that pertain to welding and steel and whatnot.

If you are a welder or anything like that we have plenty of shipyards and steel working jobs out here. Our economy is not that bad at all thanks to the large military presence.

I live close to Chadds Ford in PA. It's nice but nothing to move here for. Housing in South East PA is expensive. You dont get alot for the price you pay. Suburbs of Philly and Philly is expensive to live. Very populated areas. Jobs aren't scarse and there are alot of varieties of jobs. We have seasons so you can enjoy the winter and summer sports. Alot of things to do. PA has its advantages and disadvantages like most states I guess.

Northshore of Massachusetts, its pretty nice where I am. Living expenses I would say are fairly high and houses are pretty expensive but its nice Im along the shore so you get the beach in the summer and the snow in the winter. Im about 40mins from Boston on the New Hampshire border which is nice ( no sales taxes ) but I get to be in a fairly small town but can still venture into the city if wanted or cross the border to NH to do more redneck things or ski, snowmobile, fourwheel. New Hampshire and Maine i would say are much cheaper to live in as far as housing goes. Also the job market its decent theres a good mix or trade work white collar jobs and the pay is pretty good.

Living expense can be kinda high here but not as high as NOVA. And the jobs tend to pay very well to make up for it
