I don't know why it's such a big deal to not cover it.
Especially if you got pulled over for it once. Anyone with a kernel of common sense would then remove it.

No. You said the state troopers were all dbags. And the evidence you provided to backup that statement was that your moron friend broke the law, got caught, then broke the same law and got caught again. The troopers are not the dbags. I can think of some adjectives for you though.
