Introduction, and questions
Hey everyone,
I am new here, as i just recently purchased my first ford ranger. I have always been a car guy, and typically i am interested mostly in German vehicles, as my first car was a Mercedes and my second was an Audi. I recently purchased a 1990 Ford Ranger, this is my first vehicle that i purchased and all completely in my name.
My Ranger is a bit of a beater which is alright considering that i just want it to be able to learn a few things such as how to properly drive manual transmission, and how to work on my own vehicle. Since owning my Ranger, ( 2 weeks now ) i have changed my oil, added coolant as there was absolutely none in the vehicle when it was purchased, and replaced the ignition lock cylinder as the original one failed.
My Ranger is a 1990 Ford Ranger Extended cab 4x4, it is the 2.9l cologne engine, with a 5 spd manual transmission. Within the next few weeks i plan on replacing the radiator as my car gets very hot very quick, and the coolant starts bubbling. I also need to diagnose and repair my four wheel drive, as i push the button and it just clicks, the light does not come on ( it comes on when i turn the vehicle on and goes off ), also i have a few rust holes in the bed of the truck along the sides that i need to take care of. I would also within the next few months but its not that big of a deal like to replace the factory sound system with something a bit more updated.
I am from Maryland, and there are not too many places to take this off-road, legally that is. I know of a few spots that i have taken it, but nothing too fancy.
Hit me up if you are from Maryland and know of any places to ride.
