IDK if I agree with renting shows but I really wish I could order my channels al la carte .

The idea makes sense to me... not sure how selling a product that otherwise is not available on the market is considered greed.

The content is available, they're not talking about dvd format.

Besides, it's not even selling, it's renting. So you pay 99cents to have the privilege to watch a show for 48 hours, while i can set my dvr to keep it as long as i want.

I'm just talking about the american and canadian markets of course, i would have no idea about vietnam's tv stations lol.

Yeah but you can argue the same thing about netflix & blockbuster renting out various video formats. I know a few people who got netflix for the sole purpose of streaming old TV shows that aren't shown anymore, so this sounds like a pretty solid alternative for certain situations.

I totally skipped the 48 hour part. Yeah that's BS.

The selling, erm, renting of the episodes = cool
The 48 hour time restriction = not cool

We don't have a way to rent anything online here (i can't even listen to the online radio on ps3).

But tv shows are hosted for free on websites like global, radio-canada french (tou.tv), v tele, etc..

Since it's not a sale, and it's not dvd format, i just don't see why i'd be charged for something i already get for free, not to mention it's going to be less quality than my dvr anyways.
