I have a 32" vizio flat screen and the only negative thing I have to say about it is the load time when turning on, takes a good 5 seconds. Secondly, mine doesn't support full HD, I get up to 1080i, sucks cause I wanted to buy a Blu-Ray player.

And you have no reason not to buy a Blu-Ray player.

Trust me, I consider myself a videophile, and even with 20/20 vision and being a foot away from the screen, you will most likely not see any difference between 1080i/1080p on a 32"' screen.

Even Blu-Rays displayed at 720p look AMAZING. What are you waiting for???

We've had a 52" Vizio for about 2-3 years now with absolutely no problems. And it's on about 10 hours a day all year.

most cable providers HD broadcast in 1080I (interlaced) you will notice during an action scene the screen will pixalate, with 1080P (progressive) during an actiopn scene the screen will not pixalate

I have a 22" Vizio on my room and I love it so far. Ive only had it about 8 months but i tend to fall asleep with it on most nights. Not a single problem so far. I have a Sony Blu Ray player that i bought on Black Friday for $149 at Target plus a $20 gift card that i applied towards the purchase. It was also supposed to come with a $10 gift card as well, but the guy messed up and gave me a second $20 gift cards. All in i guess you could say it was $109 and it gives a pretty darn good picture. The only problem with the Blu Ray player is that the load time on that unit takes a while. During playback its great.

We also have a "Poloroid" 32" 1080i setup in the house too. It was a friends but he sold it to us cheap when he bought a new Bravia. Its been great and gets a killer picture.

Dang...I have had my 32" Vizio for a lil' over three years now without a single problem. When I get a bigger tv its only going to be from Vizio or Sony.

I had a Vizio 37" for 2 years. Its on about 12 hours a day everyday since i had it, and I didnt have a problem yet. People bag on Vizio's because there a new company, everyone starts sometime haha.

Oh and another warning, DO NOT buy a TV from wal mart. Companys make different tv's to only be sold at walmart.

x2. Vizio is a fairly new company in the TV industry, but I've heard alot of good things about them. Me personally, I would still need to be convinced that they are a quality set before I dropped my money on them instead of a one of the bigger manufacturers.

It's my understanding that the concept of companies making TVs only to be sold at walmart started with walmart trying to be a price leader. So while the other stores were selling TVs that had more options, more features, etc. Walmart used their buying power to get the TVs with only the basic options. For instance, instead of the TV having 3 HDMI inputs, it would only have 1, bringing down the cost.

Of course, the speculation is that the companies use cheaper materials when making these walmart TVs, but I don't necessarily believe it since the big manufacturers operate using economies of scale and repetition. For optimal efficiency they would want to make all their TVs basically the same way using the same supplies.

I doubt I would ever buy a TV from Walmart anyways though, they rarely seem to have any amazing TV deals.
