I might have another change up, because I can't start this build until June, and that is about the time Intel is launching Ivy-Bridge, so if I went that route it could be even more of a beast.

Have you ever thought about doing a rack set up? That is what is all the rage up here.

Yeah, but I really have no need for it, and plus I don't want it. For what I am going to be doing this will be plenty.
Going back to the 2 SSDs, 1 for the OS and bootup and 1 for the games only, it has no real advantage, so I save some money there by not buying a second SSD, but once the prices come down on the larger ones I might pick up 1 or 2 more, then I should be set until its time to upgrade again.
I'll keep this thread updated on my build and process, hope you guys enjoy it.

Re: Computer cases
I'm not familiar with either of those cases but when I was researching cases I kept coming across this bad boy:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119160
Might be worth checking out as well.

Yeah I know a few people that are running that case, and they love it. According to them it performs as well as it looks due to the 230mm fans that it has.
They tried to get me to buy it, but it doesn't look "rugged" enough, I'll sarafice a little cooling for the outside looks, esp. when I know if I need more cooling I can add it with out an issue.

Re: Computer cases
well a little up-date.. Plan A (see pic) has been scraped, I got screwed out of 2k, so I have to upgrade what I have for the time being, but it will work alright I suppose.
If anyone happens to have a Q6600 Intel LGA 775 socket processor they would like to sell let me know ASAP.
This was Plan A.

Re: Computer cases
Looks like a pretty sweet build.
FYI, the hyper 212 comes with its own thermal compound in the box. Reviews of it says it's pretty good stuff, so you could probably save some $$$ and get rid of the artic thermal compound.

Re: Computer cases
This is my other passion! I wish that I saw this earlier, I could've helped you out with parts. As for the cpu choice, GREAT! I have that chip and it's fast as hell. Don't worry about upgrading to an i7 for gaming, as the only thing it has that the i5 doesn't is hyperthreading, which is useless for gaming. Good choice on case, too. If you want to go liquid cool, snatch the Antex Kuhler, the single fan system works just fine and has my cpu at 20c average at full load, even with a 4.2ghz overclock. Enjoy your system!

Thanks. So far the cpu seems to do great, in august though I might complete the IVY bridge setup and buy an IVY bridge chip, not sure yet though. I am upgrading the video card, i know that for a fact.
