Default Anyone know anything about TV surround sound systems?

Anyone know anything about TV surround sound systems? Thinking about getting one for a Christmas present for the parents but I'm not even sure where to begin.

This one looked appealing because of the wireless rear speakers:
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BRAVIA-DAV-HDX589W-5-1-Channel-Theater/dp/B001W0Y440/ref=pd_cp_e_1

Thoughts?? Suggestions? What kind of stuff should I be looking for?

I'm with STL. We've got a sony system, and it was a breeze to hook up, but you can't beat wireless!

I have basically that system minus the wireless feature. I ended up buying a wireless kit from best buy...The kit is made by Rocketfish which is a best buy brand. By the time i bought the kit and speaker stands for everything i spent about 500...so yeh this is a good deal. Love my sony...I think the one your looking at also has a neat feature mine has as well. It comes with a Microphone that you plug in and run to the middle of your room. You run a test through the menu functions and it automatically sets your levels and everything to where they need to be. Love my blu ray on the plasma and the sound is even better on the Sony setup.

I already set this up for them a while ago and they do seem to enjoy it. Yeah this one has the Microphone self-calibration thing, pretty cool feature.
