Re: recording my guitar on my computer
If I were you I would download Audacidy (free record, edit, play software) from cnet.com and tape a mike to the inside of your guitar(If it is hollow). Audacity has an awesome feature that lets you record a new track while a previous recording is playing.
What I did is took a small mic (5 bucks or so just as long as its not dollar store quality) and used a Creative labs add on pci audio card (I used Audacity to record with). The pick up on my acoustic went bad when I triped over the input cord to my amp so i taped the mic just inside the hole where the audio adjustment part of my guitar used to be and I put my sound hole cover on. I got a cheap Creative labs card with a computer at a yard sale for 5 bucks and the software for the card allows effects like reverb, echo, distortion, etc to be added so I hear my playing in real time with the effects added. It sounded amazing! I say all this in past tense because my hard drive went bad yesterday do to a hang\crash while defraging and I lost everythinggg

Audacity is the way to go. Been using it for years. I play both electric and acoustic. I just plug a mic up to the cpu and record that way.

I'd love to have a prestige. Got any pics of it? I'm an ibanez nut, but recently started playing BC rich and schecter.
