It has now been 20 years since the disaster at Jurassic Park. In the time since the accident, the islands have been destroyed by national task forces. Late one night, Dr. Alan Grant (Harrison Ford taking the reigns over from Sam Neil) receives a phone call from a mysterious individual who goes by Dark Jules, and informs Dr. Grant that the dinosaurs are still alive and breeding in the mountains of Costa Rica. Following leads, Dr. Grant heads to South America where he meets "Dark Jules" and is shocked to discover he is Mr. Ray Arnold (Samuel L. Jackson, reprising his role from the first film). When the raptor attacked he had fought it off with his severed arm. Stranded on Isla Nublar he later escaped by retrieving his arm, using it to paddle a palm tree to the mainland, eating it for sustenance to survive. Now he is equipped with a cybernetic dinosaur-crushing arm, and together with Dr. Grant, the two are about to put an end to an uprising of hyper-intelligent velociraptors with plans to take over the Earth. "Jurassic Park: Rise of the Reptiles." Based on the novels 'Jurassic Park' and 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park' written by the late Michael Crichton. This sequel to Jurassic Park 3 is produced by Steven Speilberg from a script pinned by Rise of the Planet of the Apes writer Rick Jaffa.
