Default To Smart Phone or not...

http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...ceCategoryId=1

I've been debating for awhile now to make the switch to a smartphone. Part of my issue just being that I need a phone that keeps up with me. Well I found a "ruggedized" smart phone from the same people that make my current phone the Casio G'z One Rock. I'm not worried about money...so the cost of the plan upgrade and phone are no issue. What I want to know is what do you think of it? Should I do it?

The other thing I was looking at was the iPhone and the Droids...but I'm not certain. Let me know what your thoughts, rants, loves, hates on this. Thanks!

if u get a touch screen phone, it is less liley to recover from being dropped in water , etc...i know this from expierence!

but other than that they are nice, i will never get a touch screen that doesnt have a manual keyboard on it...ever!

im tough on my phones and i was nervous about getting a touch screen smart phone because i thought for sure id destroy it in short order but ive had my Moto Droid for over a year and have had no issues even after being dropped and the speaker has even held up to the small steel particles that get attracted to it at my work. I dont know how i ever got along with a regular cell phone now, i love my smart phone.

i have had my blackberry pearl for almost 3 years and no serious issues except the track ball not registering just a few months ago. $10expense to fix the track ball. the phone survived at 12 ft fall and just the battery came out. I just put the battery back in and boom back to work. great phone overall. I would suggest the rugged though so make that a

2 for the rugged phone

Droid X + Otterbox Defender = "Ruggedized"

I used have a 'Rock' Badass phone if all you need is a phone. If your gonna make the step into the smart phone world get a real smart phone. The casio rugged smart phone will more than likely disappoint you if you have been looking at Droids and Iphones. Just my opinion tho

I have the rugged phone, it's good, for me its awesome. Reading the reviews, it doesn't have the power the true smartphones..true smartphones, I should say the mainstream smartphones...meaning it doesn't have quite as much processing power...but really, I don't use the phone for much more then that...a phone and a text device to contact the vagina and fam. So I don't need it to download a crap ton of apps and play games with. I'll get the basics lol I want it more for when I travel to surf the net and post pics up.
