Sony cheaped out the PSP's too. The original's are still running I have a couple, as I dabble in micro electronics and have repaired some broken ones. Most of which were not actually broken just mechanically goofed, like joystick stepped on and pushed out of track, or laser knocked out of alignment from dropping. The newer ones are flakey, the faceplates crack after 5 months from shoddy mixtures, there's no frame to protect it from flexing and breaking the anemic LCD, etc. The PS3's them selves used second rate BD drives I have 2 60GB original PS3's (backwards compatable) and even after being reapired, the video stream still glitches when loading a game. Basically it's pick your poison.
