As the title says, lets make a list of all the songs that the artist "stole" from the original!

One right off the top of my head is: "lets Dance - David Bowie" Puff Daddy later used this beat in "been around the world"

How do you know if they're stolen? Or are you just referring to original songs that were re-recorded by other people?

I don't mean Stolen as in actually thefted, just saying songs that were re-used I guess you could say.

No, I don't mean same song re-recorded, I mean same rythm/beat used in complete different lyrics/genre

fall out boy's "dance dance" was stolen from Alexisonfire... cant remember the song.. but the beat and some of the verses are the same

He did a cover of them.
I like both versions too.
Jason and Brantley are my top two country artists.

IDK if you have seen the vid on youtube but Brantley says that he isn't mad that Jason used his songs. He says that they are friends.

It is a win win, Jason makes money because he performs the song and Brantley makes money because he is a good song writer.

So, I wouldn't say that Jason stole the songs....

I remember, years ago, a few groups getting sued because of stolen material from known artists (when sampling got huge).

Then, there are those who run out of ideas, and they go ahead, ruining perfectly good songs. They might not steal the beats, but god damn.
