Re: Top Gear US
I'm going to watch it but I'm not expecting it to be as nearly as good as the UK version.

Re: Top Gear US
I've been looking forward to Top Gear US for almost a year now and it's finally coming out. I've seen every episode of the BBC show since the 2002 revival. Watching the preview for the US version it seems like they are going to be doing a lot of the same things the BBC show has already done and that's disappointing. And I don't know about Tanner Foust, but Rutledge Wood seems like he might be kind of annoying.

Re: Top Gear US
This sorta thing makes me wanna punch a baby.
If memory serves me well, the only episodic car review series from the states i kinda liked is battle of the supercars, and one third of that content is canadian..
Americans should stick to making awesome tv shows, and not cancel them for no reason, only to make other series that share so much similarities (flashforward <-> the event, or L&O CI <-> L&O LA). They shouldn't waste their time copying fail.. i mean shows about funny presenters who can drive decently, but look pro after a clever montage.
imo
Oh and coco rules.

----------
Oh and they have their own stig how orginal, and the into music is the same as BBCs

Re: Top Gear US
Yeah, they did the helicopter thing on the BBC Top Gear, except I think it was with a Lotus.

Re: Top Gear US
I've seen all of the BBC Top Gear, and the US one was worth watching. There was 2 things I noticed that were different, there was no automotive news and the big star in a small car was really short. I don't know if it was because it was Buzz Aldrin or what.

Re: Top Gear US
any show about cars is cool and I'll watch it.....just forgot about it starting this week so will have to catch it online or something....Hopefully they do more with every day cars, new cars, and so on....been waiting for a really decent review type show on cars that people actually drive....from the comertials it seems like this show won't be it lol oh well,

Re: Top Gear US
Yeah, I have no cable so I can't watch it until later online. I figure the first couple episodes or maybe even the first season will be like the BBC version to help them get their foot in the door. I'm hoping that after that they will be more original with what they do, but we'll see.

Twas a Porsche, and yeah I watched it, wasn't that impressed. You can't improve on perfection, plus the guys at Top Gear UK, the accents just add to the funny

Ah, the Lotus was where the Helicopter was trying to lock onto the car.
