Re: Top Gear US
I watched about 10mins of the episode with the Viper in it and don't see it lasting too long.

Re: Top Gear US
Yeah, the Viper segment was kind of dumb, but the show got better. The end of the show was decent since when they were driving the Lambo's they seemed to have some personality.

Re: Top Gear US
finally watched it....not a bad show....I'd say the best part for me was whatever his name is...the comedian saying "oh fuck" each shift of the lambo lol.....most likely because that's what I'd say as well LOL Not a bad show....I guess It's because I never watched the BBC version....so I'm not comparing it to anything....

Re: Top Gear US
I think over time, the show will improve. The 1st episode wasn't to bad. Once they get some chemistry between them, and the show gets goin, it'll be pretty good. I mean, look at the 1st season or two of TopGear UK, they were kinda dull and boring to.

Re: Top Gear US
I saw one episode where they tried to see what american company had the best truck (ford, chevy, and dodge). the losers had to drive a toyota tacoma which was funny but the thing that ticked me off was they actually said that chevy was the best.

Re: Top Gear US
I gotta say, i gave the show a chance, and i'm soo glad i did.
So.. Mea Culpa
It's not as funny as Top Gear UK, and it doesn't feature drivers that can tear it up as well as Fifth Gear. I see TG US as a nice balance of both; good driving and comedy.
I know i cannot wait for season 2 to start again, moreso than TG UK.
I like that they go international, and don't follow in the "uk is best, everything else is rubbish" mentality (xcept, in this case would be usa).
Yes, i'm a believer now
Btw, i always skip passed the celebrity drivers part, both in uk and us, it bores me.

Re: Top Gear US
I'm usually Pro American TV, but Top Gear UK makes Top Gear US look mundane, Boring & poorly written. Hopefully, this will change.
