Default laptop gps?

does anyone use this? i just bought a power inverter and i'm planning on getting a usb gps receiver. i wanted to see what software people use and if anyone had any clever ideas on how to mount the laptop besides buying a ram mount.

good idea to generate a nice GPS
which make is the inverter and how many watts?(im thinking of buying one)

its 400 watts i bought it at advance auto for $50, it has two outlets, an on/off switch, it beeps when there isnt a good flow of juice. i dont know what brand though, ill check. it comes with a cig plug and alligator clamps if you want to go directly to the battery, but both cords are only 2 ft long

I use Microsoft Streets and Trips on my Netbook. Works great. The software came with a USB powered GPS receiver. I also have a 400 watt, 2 outlet power inverter.
