Default Blue Iris? Security Cameras?

Blue Iris? Security Cameras?

If anyone on the site is thinking of purchasing Blue Iris, I must say nice program. I bit the bullet and shelled out $60 for the software, and another $10 for the app on my tablet.
Works great! The app is darn near full featured!
Will support up to like 60 cameras.
Currently running:
Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I 2.8mm (great wide angle camera will buy more)
Image from that cam
Foscam FI9853EP 4mm (not a bad camera but not the quality of my other)
Image from that cam
and a cheep usb camera in the basement just for fun.
Running to a ibm 7979mc1 with a 2TB hard drive
Found a steal at the local good will computer store on
A Netgear GS748TP (power over Ethernet 48 port switch)
And an HP TFT7600 rack mounted KVM
All placed into a server rack that I was given to scrap.

Did not know if anyone here was into home security cameras. They are quite fun....

Interesting. I have been thinking about running cameras on my garage and back yard

Be happy to help you any way I can. Def the Hikvision would be my choice. I went a bit overboard. I would suggest to get POE cams.

Wonder if these ever go on sale? Would love three one for front of house, back and Garage.

Not really. 140 is not bad for a cam. You can find them a little less shipped direct from China, I don't know if they are genuine though....
