That's it if you plug the card into your computer either through a SD card reader or through the phone (if possible), open windows media player and it should see the card as a external media device, then you can let windows media player rip the songs off your cds and straight onto your phones memory card. Then hopefully your phones media player will recognize them

Can I do it to the SD card through external storage on the C-drive through the media player? I might as well put it on a thumb drive and play it through the Pioneer right?

You could get an fm transmitter that will plug into the headphones jack on your phone and you won't have to replace your radio. They are less than 30 dollars at radios hack and

http://m.ebay.com/sch/FM-Transmitters-/146504/i.html

The app I used for awhile was tunein radio.

Bob, you've already got everything you need. Music CDs, player, computer, etc. Why buy anything else?

To use your rock CDs more conveniently (the CHEAPEST way):

Download the (freebie) iTunes program from Apple.com to your Windows computer. THEN FIRST STEP: run iTunes and click on Edit > Preferences > General > Import_Settings to change your "Import_Using" to be "MP3 Encoder". (that's a once-only thing, remembered forever)

Now you can convert all your favorite music CDs into MP3 format. It's easy, cuz when you insert an ordinary CD into your computer, iTunes automatically asks you whether you IMPORT its songs. Click YES. That's how you create handy MP3 versions of your fav songs. Automatically. Yes, digitized copies. As MP3 files.

In iTunes, with MP3's, you can make a new "mix tape" of your fav songs. iTunes asks which kind of CD you want. Best is to make a MP3 style of CD, not an ordinary audio CD. That MP3 style of CD holds over 200 songs on 1 CD (ie, 10 hours). Whereas an ordinary audio CD holds only 20 songs (1 hour).

Also, your Android phone can hold LOTS of MP3 songs, same as an ipod can. To load up, plug your Android into your computer (via USB), and use Windows to (drag & drop a) copy of your MP3 songs into the phone's internal "/Music" folder. That's it. Simple. Now your phone contains your music MP3 files, too. The /Music folder is actually inside your phone's CD memory card.

Then go plug your Android phone into your truck's AUX input. Tell your phone to play its music, and enjoy.

Paying for a phone plan, that limits your usage just doesn't make sense. I also use a Trackphone, and for forty five bucks, I get unlimited talk, text and data. I think you should look at a different plan, so you can unlock all the capabilities of a smart phone. Pandora app for starters, then you're gonna find so many apps, you'll wonder how you ever got by without it.
It sounds like a lot of work, ripping all those songs. And you'll find out the android likely won't hold very many songs at once. Leaving you to have to change them out often. Pandora does all the work, you only have to sit and listen, while the app plays all your favorites, as well as great stuff you've never heard.

I agree that ripping all those songs way to much effort for a old guy and I have a Pandora app on my phone and home pc but I can't justify $45 for just my phone, which I use for a phone maybe 4 times a month.I now pay less than $20 for my Android and my wives cell phone. Like I stated, I'm just not in my truck that much, but get sick of all the commercials on regular FM.

I think I have read about all the options there are and appreciate all the replies, but there really isn't a easy or reasonable solution other than pay or just listen to 15 cd's-dvd's over and over. I guess I was stupid to start this post, when I knew I couldn't hack the cost, like I could when I was working, but then I was so busy I didn't have time to worry about it.It all comes down to that, you have to pay to play. Thanks to all who took the time to reply. Bob C.
If I had to do it all over again, I would have saved my wifey checks and lived solely on my income, then I wouldn't be wishing now.
