Default Need some tv help!

Okay hoping someone might be able to help me out. I have a 39 inch vizio led smart tv, E series. And it was only hooked up to my ps3 for a while via hdmi. Worked flawless. Now I put it in another room. Hooked my ps3 back up same hdmi cord, same port. And also hooked up a direct tv box with hdmi. And I hooked up a vizio sound bar with sub via optical cable. And I get video. But no sound at all. No matter what I try from any of the 3 hdmi ports. And when I go in the ps3 to change the audio to hdmi it says "this hdmi cannot be used for audio output". The tv is only 3 months old and worked fine before I moved it. Love the tv. Super clear no sound is a killer.

Casey do you have any RCA cables laying around to check for sound through them? Secondly do you have the right HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 or Aux selected?

Yes. I hooked the direct tv box up with rca. And the picture sucks lol. Works fine with rca. Sound bar works fine. Hdmi doesn't work. And yes I selected the right input. I have picture on the ps3 and can play games but with no sound kinda sucks. Also if I go to tv apps and put pandora on it also works fine. From reading in thinking the hdmi board might be bad.

Can't you use the HDMI cable for video and RCA cables for your audio?

Yes. Except I only have 1 rca input on the tv. I had it hooked up before with hdmi. And worked fine. Clear sound, clear picture no issues at all. And now the hdmi won't make a noise.

Did you try taking the HDMI cable and switching ends? Check the fittings ends good on the cable.Do you have a spare HDMI cable to try?

I tried 3 seperate cables and still no luck. I contacted vizio and I'm waiting for a reply. I have the extended 3 year warrenty. So worse comes to worse I'll fill out a claim and replace it.
