It now has windows 7 ultimate on it with bootcamp. But the wireless internet doesn't work on the windows partition of the hard drive.

You'll need to download drivers for just about everything...

https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/mac/...3-d5dc96df45ab

Its kinda like building a computer from scratch.

I did. All good now. Pretty cool. Is there a way I can back up my old computer and restore this partition of the hard drive from that backup. So I can have both computers in 1?

Yes and no, You couldn't do an exact drop over due to the drivers not matching up. and files probably not being in the same place and pointers yada yada yada...
If it is a simple file structure back up (exact mirror of what your computer is (minus system files for they are always in use)) you can pretty much just copy pasta it to the new machine.
So yes you can, just depend on how it was backed-up how much effort it will take.

OR you can change how your digital files are all stored.
I personally keep everything in a completely separate directory, in your case a third partition, that way its easily noticed by both OSx and win7. I keep a complete and direct file backup on a NAS (network attached storage), they are super cheap now, only 150 bucks for 4TB for plug and play ease. So if anything crashed boom, OSx, linux, windows i have access to it without any weird one-file backups. I keep everything that is very important or need quick easy access on a program like google drive or mircrosoft onedrive, or dropbox.

Okay, I still have the computer. I'm having an issue with it. It's got the duel gpu and it freaks out and shuts off. Talked to apple and they want $500 to replace the board in it. I downloaded the app to keep it on the Intel gpu but with some apps it doesn't keep it on that one and switches to the nvidia card and it will freak and shut off.

IIRC apple used hardware to dictate what gpu to use, so without disabling the hardware there is no software that would be able to make the change for you. You would have to go into the bios and change a setting, that would then disable the discrete graphic chip. I would high recommended NOT downloading anything off the internet that says it would fix that problem. I unfortunately do not have a comparable machine laying around that I could test a fix, and give a step by step.

----------

Try booting into safe(single user mode) and deleting the drivers for the discrete chip.

I emailed an apple tech that I've dealt with before and see what he will charge to just fix whatever the issue is

I got my computer back. They ran tests on it for days and no issues came up it passed everything. It freaked out with Microsoft office on the computer that I downloaded through school which gets it for free for students. I completely wiped it before bringing it in not thinking. The tech said it could have been an issue between office and the Mac making it freak and reset. I've had it and ran everything. I deleted everything app wise and got rid of office completely and I have had no issues. I never thought to wipe it and try it. Cost me $65.... But atleast I know it's not hardware causing it now.

I've had it restart on me twice since I got it back. But both times it was when the computer was working pretty hard and I had a few things open at the same time.
