Okay, I'm good then. Don't think I'm a total dipshit, maybe a little but not totally. I don't use the computer all that much I mainly want it for my gopro.

They're just old. They were good in their time.
The PowerPC processor is totally obsolete.

Lol you're good. I was just saying.
You have to execute the infected program and type your password to allow it to install.

Yeah. I don't download stuff besides music. I go on the Internet and stuff. My brother on the other hand has messed my computer up endless times. He plays games and watches youtube videos and will do what they do and say to do. He will turn off fire wall and stuff like that. I gota fed up and locked him out of it cause I'm tired of cleaning it up.

Yeah you shouldn't have very many issues. The number of headaches the 5 macs we own have given me is far less than the number of headaches our previous windows computers have given me.

Yeah windows is a pain. Anything you do you can get viruses. And there are so many out there and they are all the same internals like android phones.

Good find for the price, not many up here for that price with a functioning battery, and all the PowerPC architecture has been dropped from development.
You would be amazed at how many people with macs say they "don't have a virus" yet do. As the OS's become more sandboxed again it helps prevent the virus from leaking over, but not always preventing files from modification. For example, the adobe acrobat had full system read/write rights and bad guys went wild with malicious code. Always be careful.
The best investment after the ram would be a 7200rpm or ssd.
Ram does not have to be "apple ram", any one of the right specs works, you can check online or in your system profiler.
What video editing software are you going to be using?

Re: Mid 2010 macbook pro issue!!
I don't know if you still can, but OS X used to come with a suite of 'creative' software, I still use iMovie from 2007 (prefer clips over apples events) also its simple and no frills.
If your looking to do green screen scenes, look into Sony Vegas and contact your local HS, as they upgrade software /hardware they buy new licences and sell them for dirt cheap.

I need to get a couple more mounts for my gopro. I don't use it much yet because I can't do much on the computer with the footage. So now that I can I gotta get some mounts! Need to get some new riding gear and go ride track soon.

When you do, post some photos of how you mounted and the footage!

I will. I'm gonna buy a ram mount suction cup mount for my jeep when I go to the local mudfest. Also I'm gonna do the normal helmet mount and I would love a 360 mount.
