You can get a supercharger for the 4.0. And you can pull a manual t-case from an earlier ford if you want to as well..

And the swap is pretty straightforward. I'm pretty sure all you need is the case, linkage, and shifter.

i think you pretty much answered your own question. mud and 2wd? hell nah. snow and 2wd? hell nah. off road. maybe, lol. go cheap and get the xlt or base 4x4 model.

I was going to say if you get a 2wd to get a locker....but you should get a 4x4 and a locker!

Make sure its an e-locker or air locker if you get on-board air. No need for a locker on the streets when dry, just chew up your tires that way.
