Hey John! Is it work or something else that you'll be in Riverview for? I work at the south end of Wyandotte; I am probably just a couple a miles away.

The Wayne Road cruise? I've not heard of that. When is it and I am assuming on Wayne Road, correct?

Re: Those In Southeast Michigan. What truck is yours
Ya, Wayne Road. It looks like it's going to be July 15. I stumbled onto it a few years ago, and have made it a point to be down there then. A lot of nice cars/trucks show up, some are modified so much they might not even be legal anymore. I don't enter, both my trucks are too new. I just pull in somewhere and park, and watch the cars. I always have a couple people come over and talk to me about the 150, the Ranger, not so much.
Here's a link for it; http://www.allamericancruise.com/
Also, this time of year, many old, modified, and custom vehicles can be seen on Ford Road and Michigan Ave. I usually cruise Ford Road from Wayne Road to Telegraph, and really see some cool things, and even have guys stopped at lights complimenting the 150. Ha, I just spent the last 5 hours cleaning it up inside and out, now watch me get caught in rain on the way down.

Re: Those In Southeast Michigan. What truck is yours
Hi Andy, I got down here Thursday afternoon, and heading back up this morning. My critter sitters schedule was open just enough so I could do what I needed Friday, but I have to get home this afternoon.
I did get out around 7 last night, and saw a handful of cars, a couple Bucket T's, a big horsepower Anglia Pie Wagon, and of course the spattering of early '70's chivvy stuff, ho hum. Gonna miss the big time today.

We had a good time down there. We sat across from the US 12 bar and watched traffic. All manner of vehicles! It was pretty cool thanks for the tip!

Re: Those In Southeast Michigan. What truck is yours
Cool, glad you got over there. This morning when I left my wifes' house, I took Wayne Rd north to Plymouth Rd., then west to Newburg, and north to 8mile. I saw a few guys heading south. A couple late 60 Mustangs, a '69 Z28, a '70 W31, and one of my favorites, a '69 340 Dart.
Wish I could have stuck around, it would have been nice to meet ya in person, and see some nice old iron.
I would have never thought to sit where you were, I usually am up by Cherry Hill.

I went with daughter, son-in-law and grandson. Since I've never been and they were advertising on the radio that it was on Wayne Road, my son-in-law thought it was in downtown there. There was enough of a crowd and plenty of cars so we stayed there.

Re: Those In Southeast Michigan. What truck is yours
Well that was nice, cool to take the grandkid! Is he old enough to appreciate it? Mine is nine, so he'd like the sound and action, but not old enough to appreciate what's making it yet.
Good old Michigan Ave., always seems you see something there when the weather is decent. Ford Road ain't too bad either.
Ya know, both my wife and I are from Monroe originally. I always knew the areas to go in Wayne county for the cars back in the 60/70's. Seem strange that now we're there in that area. To be honest, if I could sell this place up here, and the house down there, we'd both be going back to Monroe, but be in Wayne county for the cars and stuff in the summer. Sorta the best of both worlds!

Re: Those In Southeast Michigan. What truck is yours
Anyone going to be in or around southwest Michigan on Saturday? There is a little place called Vicksburg (not too far from Kalamazoo)t hat will be holding a pretty neat little car show. It starts about 9:00am and runs 'til about 5:00pm. I am planning on attending with my family. If you come around please take a look for me. I think it would be fun to meet some other folks and look at the cars. I won't be hard to find; look for the Ned Flanders, Opie, Richie Cunningham dude! Take care.
