Screw that! Well my previous vehicle had a 3.1 fwd. Was way simpler. And my 86 pickup is too damn easy to work on lol.

And I swear my 98 explorer 4.0 4wd's engine bay wasn't as cluttered.

Hoping I get good results, including increased MPG, with a Spring tune-up.

Are you the original owner? Had a tune-up ever been performed? I have under 73K miles on my 08', and it is due.

Sometimes, it is hard to tell. How long have you owned it, and what other repairs does it need?

Just a few months, when I bought it all the tires were shot. It has no spare, the guy changed a flat, left the bad tire and good rim at his apt and they threw it away, so it has the rusty rim with no cover on it. It could use brakes, though their not horrible. When I got the truck the engine was horribly dirty, there's a pretty good oil leak coming from the valve covers, when the engine heats up its noticeable. It also has needed a camshaft position sensor since the previous owner bought it. I have one to put on if it is decent enough tomorrow, (high of 34, and no garage to work on it in). A few plugs we're not tightened down whatsoever, I put the socket and ratchet on one, and let go of the ratchet and just its weight loosened it. A couple plug wires came off with no hesitation. It was just ridiculous. Oh and the back bumper is bent down, he put way to large of a load on it when he went to move from Wisconsin to Nebraska, ended up buying a class 3 towing hitch, which was nice, but he took the hitch off.

Definitely sounds like the vehicle has seen better days.

Anyone know why I hear a ticking sound from the area underneath the drivers side by the pedals when I accelerate? Didn't do this prior to the removal of my whole intake and the replacement of my cam position sensor and syncronizer. Im still getting a code for the sensor as well :/
