Default Wisconsin Nicolet Forest Lakewood, Wisconsin Off road meet.

Its the end of a beautiful summer and with that there comes one of the best times to have a last WI meet, Last time we had a meet not many people showed up. im hoping my decision on a place this time strikes more peoples interest. So with this location yes their are off road trails for those that would like to head out on them. There are of course easy to hard ones and some just cruising ones. So 2wd rangers are welcome. there are some nice places to hang out and have lunch and what not. Id really like to have a good turn out and actually have a nice amount of people. I was thinking last weekend of oct. so 3 weeks away.. You can search for pics and videos of the trails its pretty awesome. Hope to hear from my Wisconsinite Brothers

----------

Oh and i have one or 2 people with rangers from my town coming they arent on here but both have rangers and pretty nice ones at that.

If it was closer to home, Waukesha county SE Wis, I would go...considering gas prices, it's too far to go and too costly. Having it located nearer a larger city would bring more Rangers to the meet. For example...Milwaukee...Madison....Wisconsin Dells would be great...etc.. imho

I live in Fox Lake.

My truck is nowhere near trail worthy though

Was just up in Crandon for the World Off-Road Championships. If I remember correctly, it costed me less than $50 to get there and back (Matt, I'm about 20 miles east of you). I'll have to check with the boss to see if she has anything planned for that weekend.

Yeah lol, it would cost me the same to get there and back, only reason I know is cause I just drove to/from Dekalb, IL a week ago, which is the same distance give or take a few miles. My truck is currently a basket case, and you will see if you see my truck in person or ride in it

I was up at Crandon for the races too. Only attended on Saturday, but it was a awesome time.

I'd like to show up for the meet, love that area. 5-10 years ago (when gas was cheap!) my brother and I would head over there nearly every weekend during the summer and meet up with some of our cousins to camp, offroad, and drink beer. Not sure if I could make it though. I'll probably be heading down to the West Bend area for my uncle's annual Halloween party/bash at his farm the weekend before, and I'm not sure if the wallet will allow two big roadtrips on consecutive weekends. I'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, after picking up the truck (which had all good looking and smelling fluids at time of purchase), I drove it twenty miles to put two tires on it, got home, and found a bunch of oil in my coolant reservoir.

After doing a full felpro headgasket set, timing belt, timing tensioner, water pump, coolant backflush, & a full synthetic oil change:

- slave cylinder started leaking
- bad lower BJ on the passenger side
- bad upper BJ on the drivers side
- drivers rear axle seal started leaking
- passenger rear wheel cylinder started leaking
- EGR tube connection to the black hose coming off the tube broke off
- drivers side rear cab mount is rusted through and broken off
- seal between the two sections of the bellhousing is slowly leaking
- transmission fluid was black/gray (instead of the red it should be)
- lower crossmember is welded in
- pass. cab corner is rusted all the way through
- drivers cab corner is rusted about an inch deep, 2" diameter hole
- lower rear bed panels have rusted through (by the rear bumper)
- one of the bolts holding my rear bumper on is loose or bent, meaning it's weak/unreliable on the drivers rear
- fuel filler neck is leaking
- speedo cable is bad (speedo shakes over 40mph and sounds like a quiet rattlesnake behind my cluster)
- front bumper is dented pretty well and part of it is broken/rusted
- a bunch of mismatched tires

Quite a list :P (basketcase)
