NOTICE! after turning from HWY 12 onto "Baker Park Road" the park entrance is 2 miles on the left. There are numerous other "park entrances" along the way. Do not turn at these! you want the large "main" entrance. After you turn, there will be a small "DNR shack" with small stop signs. Just keep to the right and then at the "T" intersection, make a right and drive straight down to the parking area.

You sure it's on the left side of Baker Park Road? It looks like the entrances would be on the right.

it's on the left. I've been there at least 4 times in the past year and was there today that lake in the upper left corner is where the picnic area is. your map's geographical outline of the park is wrong.

I think you are both talking of the same area. Left into the park area/entrance then right at the T to the parking lot. Looks to be a swingset, valleyball, picnick, swimming/bikini girl area. Heading to the boat launch on Lake Independance will take you right to the parking lot. Here is a link of a map on their website.
