no salt, doesn't mean no rust....my atvs and motorcycles have never seen any salt, yet they still have some rust!

his truck is over 14 yrs old, there will be rust...

My dad won't buy a minnesota vehicle or anything that has spent a winter over there. He's too afraid of the rust.

lol....u should look at and inspect any vehicle when u buy it.

It's all about how well its been taken cared for...

look at my ranger, for a 1999, and always sat out for winter, never in a garage, it looks fucking awesome! i have seen newer trucks that look 10x worse with rust and more!.

This is 15 years of Minnesota winters!!

He does. He just refuses to buy anything over there. Most people aren't like you and don't really try to prevent rust until its too late.

Yes i have taken my truck mudding and off-roading, it's seen its share of dirt and mud, but i always clean it up afterwards.
I have had guys tell me, "ah your truck has never seen mud" then i pull out photos, and prove them wrong!

But when buying a vehicle, no matter where its been or from, you should always inspect it...

frame and suspension yes. Haven't looked at the tire carrier area in awhile
