Theres a welder on craigslist there for sale that i wonder if someone could pick up for me and then meet me somewhere later.

Shafer appears to be up North in cities area....
Id like to meet someone on the east side of the cities...

Hi MN ranger drivers. I am looking for a good place to get repairs done at a reasonable price. The place I go to now does good work, but very pricey and i can no longer afford them lol! I live in Minneapolis. thanks!

Hopefully someone fom the cities will chime in.....im not near that area and not familiar with shops there..

Clutch is almost gone after 140,000miles other repairs will soon be needed too, still got lots of parts on it with 340,000 miles lol

For clutch work im not sure what type of place would specialize in that..maybe a tranny shop??
I would start with the yellow pages and google to look for shops...and call them and see if u can get an estimate...
But before you commit to using a place its always best to go and check out their shop.
You want to find a shop that is kind of messy or unorganized and busy..that means they are busy busy and if they are busy that means alot of people trust their work.
Now if the shop is well organized, too clean, and they arent busy, then theres a reason...lol.

I normally go to Brownie's Service & Goodyear center, their shop is mainly oganized but a bit messy because they always have vehicles in there for repairs...

You may think you want to go to a place that is greatly cleaned and organized to where it looks too nice...but that means they spend too much time cleaning and organizing instead of working...and who knows they may be charging you for their cleaning time!!

Slim's.

Slim's auto in Anoka, MN is one of only two places I will let work on my vehicles. I don't take my cars in to the shop often, I much prefer doing everything myself.

But for those bigger, harder jobs that you don't have the tools or time for...I take my stuff to Slim's for general repair stuff and Andover Wheel and Frame fror alignments, exhaust, and chassis stuff. I can't recommend both places strongly enough. Both are run by good people who really know their shit. They don't BS you or overcharge, they're just good and honest and they never try to cover up or do sloppy work. My old man swears by them too.

Some of you guys are more tire savvy than I am, so I've got a question for you....

Currently the BII is sitting on 235/75/R15's. They're decent Toyo AT tires, but they're probably at like 40% tread left and I'm going to want to put new tires on soon.

I want to go down a bit in tire size...I'm thinking of going to 215's instead of 235's. The stock tire size is actually 205, but I'm almost thinking that'd be too small and look odd.

Any recommendations for tire brands/models that you guys like? I know General Grabbers are pretty popular and I might go that route, despite the expense.

I have motorcycle turn signal amd saddle bag brackets i want to make and sell on the bike forum.
A few atv things for the raptor and honda to sell on those forums.
Some odd and end projects for my dad....fixing some wagons and stuff.

Maybe make and sell some stuff for the ranger!!
But all in good time.....
