Got both vehicles running again!

The '350 with the PTO winch and lowboy trailer that I borrowed from work was the exact right setup. Winched the Ranger right onto it. Everyone I work with hates driving that rig, but I personally love the thing. All the 7.3 power you'll ever want, and it's got a nice 6-speed manual with a PTO for the winch and the dump bed.



Got her into the heated shop and took a look see....problem turned out to be a faulty connection between the positive battery cable and the starter relay. The cable was about shot, so I put a new cable in.

So I unhooked the trailer and got a jerk strap and towed the Town Car into the same shop at work and checked it over - eventually found the starter motor itself was hosed. Bought a new one at O'Reilly and put it in. What a BITCH that was. I hope that's the last starter I ever have to put in that thing because it was a mother fucker. Starts like a dream now though.
