Sweet. My dad believes in buying brand new, so he'll prolly get a new John Deere thing..

I have a couple questions regarding plowing, etc: How do you level out the property? There are some dips in the property and I just started plowing it. We are trying to level the place out, get it ready for crops, and try to get rid of some of the big rocks sticking out of the ground.

1) how flat is your property?
2)how big of plow do you have?

The property is actually fairly level. Its a little rolling towards the end of the property but we'll let that be as long as its smooth and no dips.

Mehh...in terms of tractor implements...all we have is a 4' box scraper w/3 teeth, a 5' blade, and a 4' rototiller. My dad was thinking about getting some discs.

And the rocks, dig around them then put a chain around them and pull them out or you can get a self and break them or you can go the redneck way and get some tannerite and blow them out lol

They are coming out of the ground as I go around with the box scraper. I hate how there are/was piles of rocks, so many damn rocks in the ground, and there are some asphalt buried in the ground at some places...makes the box scraper "buck".

And plowing is really just for turning up the dirt so you can get the minerals for the crops and making the ground easier to work with just like a rototiller. So if you got just a bunch of dips level those out with the box scraper and/or add topsoil with the highlift to get rid of them

well after you get them out of the ground post that on Craigslist and ppl will use that for clean fill and just pull the big ones out with a chain and push the smaller ones but the ones that are too big for the box scraper, push them out with the highlift
