Here are some pics.... I only have the driver's side done... i need more plastic retainer clips...the christmas tree ones... i used alot of my old ones, but many of my old ones were busted beyond use..

Now the bushwacker kit came with self-tapping screws, that you are "suppose" to use, and they have marks on the inner fenders where you are suppose to use them..these marks are a tad off from the holes that are already there, where the old x-mas tree clips go.... so why not just use those holes, instead of drilling more holes into the fender?? So i drilled holes to match my holes in the fender lip, and put the x-mas tree clips in.... easy peasey..

In this pic., u can see where i had herculined up to my original stock flares, and how the bushwacker ones dont go out that far...

Since I couldn't finish and do the passenger side.. i went ahead and mounted my explorer roof rack onto my topper.... topper will be going back on the truck in a week or two..

On a side note... even after 3 washings, self serve, and about $20 spent, I am still finding MUD/DIRT clunks in spots...mainly up around the suspension, and etc. And I still cant get all the crap out of my rims and off my brakes!!

Looks good. I am having a hard time keeping my truck clean up here too.

You have to show me how you did the roof rack. I need one sooooo bad with a basket. Also I found a link on craigslist for baskets that are $140.

Are they the "basket-case" or the "load-warrior" baskets.
The load warrior and mega load warriors are the best...

That basket is on my spring buying list!!!
That's way cheaper than the $300 Yakima load warrior and looks almost the same.

I can't justify spending $300 for a brand new Yakima one, when the basket is going on my topper and won't get used a hell of alot, only when camping and wheeling.
But $140 is a great price..wonder how much shipping is tho?

Also that basket is aluminum, the Yakima load warrior is steel.
Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
The aluminum one is probably black andodized plated, not painted because paint won't really stick to raw aluminum well or long. It will flake off.
But being aluminum its lightweight and easier to handle, but not as strong as the steel ones.
Steel ones can easily be repainted, welded on, but will rust, aluminum won't rust.

So it's a toss up. If you're going to use the basket alot, everyday, I would go with a steel one. Otherwise if its going to be used now and then for light duty stuff, the aluminum one is perfect.

Thanks machine. The shitty part of it is I am 5 hours away from all of my tools and a garage. I have a screwdriver, hammer, and basic socket set and that's it. Its makes it so much harder to diagnose and fix the problem. I may just take it to the stealership and cough of the money

so frustrating!

Your money would be better spent just buying the few tools u need to remove the column, rather than paying the dealership.

Basically u would need 3-4 tools.
Philips screw driver, a 8mm socket i think, and then i think the column nuts are 13 or 14mm.

$30 in tools, or $60+ at the dealership.
And u can possibly return the tools when done lol.

If u were closer to me i would come help.
