well this is news to me. The PO has it set up to change oil you don't need wrenches. Just push in this numatic button and turn it to the right and the oil comes out. It's pretty sweet. No wrenches required. Changed it all out. Ready to go another 4,000-5,000 miles

Changing my fluids myself is like one of the only things I don't bother doing. It's almost cheaper to just have a shop change your oil for you by the time you buy oil and the filter. Same with all the other fluids. Cheaper just to have a shop do it

That's because they give you SHIT for quality. My oil changes are about 60 bucks and I don't mind paying that for quality.

I haven't had any issues so I'm fine with it. I just ask for the better oil and fluids. So I'm fine with it.

Maybe it was just the Snappy Lube here... On my Geo I got an oil change done and the oil was just BLACK nasty in like 1500 miles

Meh they did give me a free change... I told the manager if they don't fix it I'll leave a nice oil puddle in the parking lot.

I enjoy changing my own fluids. It brings a little pride to me. And I can personally see if anything out of the ordinary is going on. I don't trust mechanic shops. Stealing airbags and stuff. That may not be true for all mechanic shops. But I just like to work on my vehicles instead of taking them in.
