Terry the best spot for the sandbags is at the far back by the tailgate.

Re: Minnesota
I'm keeping it over the axle, because at the far end would lighten the front end, which is Bad.

Re: Minnesota
Have u ever noticed when stepping into your bed, when u step onto the bumper the bed and truck sags down, but as u climb further into it the bed rises back up?
In the center, above the axle is where u have the most upward support from the shocks.
Its also more in the center of your leaf springs...
When i had my 2wd ranger i got stuck, i had the bags in the center.....i moved them toward the back by the tailgate and was able to drive myself out of the ditch.
----------
Im off to bed...gnite guys.
On a side note..last nite the wife said she would do the dishes tonight..she didnt. Now she says she will do them tomorrow.
I would never hit a lady....but she needs a good bitchslap!

Actually mine doesn't go back up until you get out if the bed. Any weight over 100 and it goes down. Put 3-4 people and my tires almost tuck
