yes..u touch it to the engine and it helps u locate the area where the noise is coming from. i have one, i got from O'Reilly Auto Parts, and its very handy, specially working on my motorcycles.

Im gonna try and save up about $2500 and buy an explorer with the lowest amount of miles possible. Sell all the body parts and interior.
More than likely, I won't be able to start until summer, around may or June. Gives me a good 5-6 months to have the money. Which if I don't have the money by then... I must have become an addict to crack or methamphetamines.

Well let me save the money for you...send your extra money to me, and i will put it in my safe, so each month u send me money and i will keep it safe for you...then when there's a good chunk of money saved up....i will let you know...when i go buy me an explorer and swap in a 5.0 into my ranger...and send you a thank you card.
