You'd have to get that red bed liner so you could do the rest of your truck, since that one panel would be covered in it

He could remove it and repaint it...lol..or he could just paint over it..
But really that corner panel is $65 from LMC Truck...why cut out a rusty one and weld in a bent one when u can just weld in a new one..

No, your bed is too narrow for it. Style side beds are wider

Well guys I got some messages asking where I've been and I'm back! I got bad news and good news. I was arrested on the 25th of last month for a DUI, terroristic threats, and fleeing police. I got strict probation so any meets for the at least 6 months is out of the question. I lose my licence December 19th I don't know for how long it will be gone, but its for sure gone. This whole charge set me back $500 so far and no one knows how much more it'll cost me. The good news is that I'll be able to fix the ranger up this winter. The bad news is its probably getting sold for a bronco. I want to do a 7.3 power stroke project into the bronco. But anyways I was in jail for the past month so I missed a lot I take it... Someone fill me in please?

Glen are you really doing a 5.0 swap? Lets get together and talk about doing a big boy mod on the rangers. I've been looking into diesel but I really don't want a 2:1 gear ratio with direct drive because the engine would have to be in the bed. Maybe a smaller diesel or a 5.0.

Yeah terry and george got mixed up at the meeting location...sucks but its all good now.

Im waiting for insurance to do its thing...a guy from state farm is coming to look at it tomorrow and i will show him my meausurements.

As for me putting in a 5.0...that will be a few years down the road as i only have 68k on my current motor and 25k on the rebuilt tranny so lots of life left in her there.

Trading your ranger for a bronco?? What for??

It's a long story and as I am going through the legal battle right now I don't know what to put out on the internet. The situation is just F#$KED.

How long ago was the accident?

What are you doing to the engine on the snow flake(white project ranger)??? You have a new engine for it already right?

I'm looking at three situations and I have not come to my final decision yet.

1) Figure out how these people say they can drop a PSD into a ranger. If it is indeed possible figure out the costs and see if my buddy is down. And I don't want the new 3.2 PSD because I don't have the cash flow to do that...

2) Buy a Bronco and throw a 7.3 in it. I've seen A LOT of broncos with PSDs.

3) Buy a full size and be done

My buddy went to Alex tech for diesel mechanic and would be more than willing to drop this beast in a garage and work on the weekends with me to get it done.

P.S if the ranger does get sold it will be later next year. I will finish the 3.0 swap, complete interior re-haul, and custom bed project. Figure it should bring in a pretty penny towards my next truck.

I would fix the ranger up and then go for the bronco project.

I hope u didnt lose your job over this crap cuz i know you were really focused on your career in autobody man..

I think that's what's going to have to happen...

Thankfully after being in jail for 2 weeks I got my boss on the horn and I go back to work tomorrow. I just got out today.

Yeah mostly cosmetic...theres one support bracket back there that has to be replaced.
The tire sidewall got scuffed up too but its fine.

Bought a new truck! Well kinda. The money from the insurance company hasn't fully been transferred into my account... But I looked at and drove a truck today. Gave the guy a check to hold it till early next week when I can pay for it fully. It's a black 2002 XLT. 83k miles on it and SUPER clean. I am pretty excited about this new truck and mods to come. Pics to come, he already took it off craigslist for me. Stay tuned.
