I got a nice tonneau cover for my steppy. You just have to buy the stuff for it brand new.

I'll have to see if I can make that. I'm guessing the info on it is floating around this thread.

Probably had something to do with the step attachment points rusting out and having to listen to the body panels bouncing around all day. haha

There's nothing wrong with the step side beds....the fiberglass sides wont rust, thats a plus. They have a tad less room tho. And they are hard to find the accessories for (used) and u will end up buying stuff new, like Bitzy said.

You should check out the local junkyards, I've seen a few regular beds at the yard in New London/Spicer called "Deerings"

Josh, you'll have to also replace the bumper if you want a step side bed.

Deerings is a good place. I'll see when it comes time to replace it.

And tailgate. I found a box tailgate and bumper for 400. I don't know I'm doing the engine replacement first so probably still 3 months out

Josh, i would focus on the basics first....if it need the engine swap and stuff, that should be priority, do it first.....the cosmetic stuff can come later..

It's like my white 98 project truck, no sense in buying accessories for it until i get the running engine put in and the truck is drive-able...
The only thing i have bought for it so far was a new driver side door..
