Just bought a bull bar/brush guard for the Ranger on ebay!

I don't like the chrome though....but this was literally the only one out there I could really find. I'll probably paint it flat black when I get it. It'll be a good way to mount my Hella 550's when I get those as well.

Calvin, are your bumpers chrome? if "yes" i suggest you keep the brushguard chrome.
a black brushguard doesn't go well with a chrome bumper. (my opinion)

My bumpers are chrome (XLT baby) so I dunno, I guess it might look good the way it is. I'll mount it stock and see if I like it. If not I'll repaint it but it can't hurt to try it out normal first.

I will. I just ordered it today so it'll take a while to get here I imagine.

Wrecked my Ranger last night

Hit a patch of ice going 30mph, swerved into oncoming traffic- over corrected and went into curb.
I felt like I was going to roll so I closed my eyes (and my glasses got knocked off by impact), when I opened them I was right side up but turned around. Front left side is smashed in up to the drivers door, no damage to the bed or door... but the frame is very likely bent.

Body shop picked it up this morning, but no verdict until Monday likely as they're backed up. Tow truck driver was puzzled how I did the damage, we're just not sure how my truck bounced around like that and didn't land on the top. Thank god for a full tank of gas.

Sorry to bust up the party about the bull bar Calvin- it's going to be sweet on your truck. Your Ranger is absolutely classic.

I'm so relieved that I'm relatively unscathed. Gotta make a chiropractor appointment though, sitting at work today is painful.
I'm hoping it's not totaled, but trying to realistic. 2001 with 137,000 miles, how far will the insurance company go. Speaking of which- I have State Farm, they're being great right now and my deductible is only $500.

I have state farm and full coverage with $500 deductible too...and my truck is a 99. The truck has like 185k but the engine has only about 65k and the tranny about 20k.
So at $78 a month for full coverage its worth it.

Nah man it's cool, I'm glad you're alive. I totaled my car 8 years ago on an icy country road in southern MN, rolled it end over end into a ditch....it's a shitty experience. It's weird too how afterwards you don't even think about how lucky you are to be alive, all you think about is the car....at least that's what happened to me
