Yeah lol.
I figure i ca get this plow and then when i get my white 98 ranger running i can put the plow onto it. The white ranger will be my winter beater and i can use it to plow my driveway and the neighbors and make some $$$ .
The guy wants $3495 for the whole truck and plow....but i cant justify spending that much for another ranger. But its 4 door too thats nice.
I have $1000 in the white ranger and all its parts...its all there i just need to put the new engine in this summer.

Re: Minnesota
Thinking of maybe building/buying a bull bar / brush guard type thing for my Ranger. Not because it's going to be an off-road truck or anything but mainly because I want to mount some fog lights. Any ideas on where I might be able to buy one for a 1st gen? If not I'll probably just wind up making one.

Re: Minnesota
check Craigslist.
when I had a Gen I ranger, I used the holes in the frame, just behind the small plastic "valence" just below the bumper. However, this requires cutting the valence, so the fog lights can be mounted. It was the location ford used when mounting fog lights on the Ranger GT models. or, you could just drill a few holes thru the top bumper and mount the fog lights there.

I went to the Minneapolis car show, it was awesome!! I got to sit in the raptor....its perfect!!!
I also saw the 2014 silverado, the guy claimed that it has more leg room in the back seat...all they did was move the B pillar forward 3 inches....but my dad had the guy measure the difference between the 2013 and 2014...the 2013 has around one inch more space...such a big lie.
My dad might just end up getting an F-150 stx. The dealership here has them for $26,000 new...$10,000 off the sticker price.

Re: Minnesota
I often wonder how many of you great MN members I pass on the hwy.
If you see a red Ranger 4x4 with a tire mounted in the bed, it's probably me!

Looks like there are lots of options for where to mount them, that's good.
Any recommendations for particular lights? What I'm looking for is something nice and bright for driving at night mainly up at my cabin where hitting a deer isn't a matter if "if" it's a matter of "when." I'd like something I could reasonably use on-road and not have to worry about burning someone's eyeballs out.

Re: Minnesota
for your style ranger, I recommend a rectangular lamp. whats your budget? you can get a "decent" pair of lights for $25 but you get what you pay for.
I prefer the quality and durability of the HELLA brand. For your ranger, I recommend the Hella 530 or 550 series. cost is around $85, but well worth it.
Question: Did you want a fog light (short range, wide area of light)
or a Driving light (Long, range, narrow area of light) ?
