I'll be moving up to Houghton in a couple of weeks for grad school. I love the copper country.

The Mounds Off Road Park is good place to go. Its in Genesee County-Flint, MI. Its a county park so you will need a Michigan ORV sticker and a mounds daily permit.

Silver Lake State Park off lake Michigan is a good place as well.

Bundy Hill- I'm not sure about as I've never been there. So I can't help you there.

Silver Lake would be your best bet. You would have a better time at Silver Lake.

bundy hill is bigger with more trails. as well as rocks and valleys orv park alittle more north. but silver lake offers more of a 2 or more day setting with awesome camping and hotels

----------

and up by silver lake there are secrets not many know. travel 9 miles north and there is miles and miles of offroad road and trails in the woods.
