4.0 SOHC Teardown (Pre-build)
Detailed teardown and beginning of rebuilding a 2002 4.0 SOHC
Bearing cap looking good
Connecting rod journal looking pretty good. Checked all journals and found to be dead on spec.
Piston coming out, covered in a bit of oil varnish and carbon, but will clean up nicely

Light rusting on cylinders, should come right off with some honing.

Pistons out. Checked the bores, all within spec on taper, diameter, and out-of-round. Tolerance of less than 1 thousandth of inch on all cylinders.
