I have a 3 liter V6 engine and transmission from an 01 Ford Ranger. I have installed it in an older non electronic car. With the engine I got the engine harness, the PCM and most of the rest of the wiring from the truck. I did not get the PATS transceiver. I have the Ford wiring manual for the Ranger and that is what I used to integrate the Ranger wiring into the cars electrical system. The PCM was reprogramed to disable the PATS and emissions equipment. The salvage yard I bought the motor from assured me that it was running before they pulled it but I cannot get it to run. It won't crank and when I jumper the starter to crank it I get spark but the injectors aren't firing. The company that did the reprogramming rechecked it and says it is good. I have rechecked the wiring and cannot find any reason for it not to start unless it still needs the PATS transceiver connected. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
