My 2006 ranger makes a clunk noise when I turn the ignition. Can someone explain the problem and what I should do?

I am not very savvy on how to get any info on this forum. I have a 2004 Ford Ranger, 4.0 XLT. The bulb in the P.A.D. switch assembly is burned out and the cluster light is blinking code 27. Is this unit replaceable?

Having problems with it starting after a engine overhaul. Timing chains mainly. Turns over but won't start. Wondering if you have to prime the fuel lines or something. Any help
