Got a 94, 4.0 ext cab auto 4x4. Bought out of southern Jersey...Nice shape. Owner said wouldn't go over 35...Fixed that at least I believe...was stuck in 4 low....shift motor bad. Now for the frustrating part. I can get it to run by putting gas in the throttle body....Pulled tank, changed pump....no go....Bypassed inertia switch....no go ( when tested wires to inertia both red and green cycle hot for 3 sec.... put in jumper...(bypass) Changed pump relay....still no fuel, no pump sounds...Contact were good at pump, greased when re installed.
OK OK OK....Some IDIOT, which is ME Didn't get Plug on tank secure, it fell off while installing filler tube.... Now pump works....Found that vacum line was off fuel regulator... have fuel at schrader valve ( by regulator) Bleed it off, cycle key few time, more fuel at Schrader valve, so fuel is making it to injector system ( don't have pressure tester) Still runs when dumping gas into throttle body.....then dies....Where do I check next....
