2003 3.0-Catalytic Converter help!
Just found out that I need to replace my front and rear catalytic converters. Quote for OEM replacement assemblies is $1300.New ford replacements at $2300.

Bought the truck new in FLA, but looks like the front cats were set up with 3 cats-with ford part no. 1L5Z5F250CA. This leads me to believe it was set up for California emissions? Rear is 2 cats-ford part no. 1L5Z5E212JA.

My question is, has anyone installed Magnaflows full cat assemblies on their 3.0? Good results with direct fit or were modifications needed? Did they cause the CEL lights to come on?

I am considering doing the work myself and installing Maganflow Front cat part no. 93168 and rear cat part no.93170. My concern is if the CEL will be an issue and the fit. I would prefer to install them myself without cutting and welding (which I cant do). So I'm looking for true "plug n play" if possible.

My next step will be installing a Magnaflow cat back exhaust.
