could be from either or many other issues. start by replacing the air filter if it looks visibly dirty. then clean the IAC. The computer is surprisingly smart and it is constantly working to maintain a good fuel to air mixture and maintain a constant idle, even with broken or missing parts.

The IAC is almost always the culprit, but anything from the air box to the upper intake manifold could be causing problems. Is the check engine light on?

Ey so u described the problems I was havin with this truck... Ill give u all da info lol jus bought da truck for 700 only cuz has 410 gears n pozilock rear end it feels like a v8 lol but yea I'm getting a mean surging while I'm driving an wen I unhooked it it ran a lil better but I notice now occasionally upon start up it will die n gotta start again... But the surging... Is that from the computer or the iac u think?
