I read that I should run a 15X8 rim with a 3 3/4 inch back spacing. I am now considering if I want to go with a bigger rim like a 16X8 but the backpacking on the rims I like is 4.2 inches. Would that work or would that cause the rim to sit to far back and rub?

If you are at least 3 inches higher, you should be able to clear those tires, and yes, i had 32 10.5 on my stock rims before i got by aftermarket rims. When you go to the tire shop they should be able to confirm with you that the tires will fit the truck, you might have some issues just because you do not have a wider offset on your rims, so you might rub a little bit.

I have a 98 ford ranger single cab 4X2. My Truck has coil spacers in the front and a fabtech coil spring with extended control arms. The back has the longer shackle and also the add a leaf. Will 33 10.50 R15 tires fit? Also will my stock rims support that wide of a rim or do I need new rims?*
