Hi all i'm new here so bare with me.
I have a 1983 ford ranger xl 2.8 v6 that im trying to get road ready and its been a job.
Last guy had no idea what he was doing trying to install 302 in it and took out 6.
I put 6 back in and am going through 5 gal bucket of bolts and brackets to fix this beast.
Had to make retainer bearing shaft since he cut it down on trany for adapter for v8.
it works great so far.
he lost slave cylinder pushrod so im test out length with a bolt it works so 5 inches seems to work great.
He said he rebuilt carb but all he did is replace a few gaskets and float and seat and never dunked carb.
Plus he put float retainer wire on backward so float wouldnt seat and just flooded like crazy.
Had two kinds of distributers to try tfi and dura spark 2, both were fried so I used chevy 5 pin module and rewired works great.
