alright man thanks a lot for your help. im going to get the truck up on a lift so there wont be any stress on the suspension and ill have some more leverage for getting those bolts free. since i still have the factory shocks on from 97 and they are heavily rustedon.

Hey man, i saw your thread on junkyard runs. I need some early 00' bed rail protectors, with the clamps and all. they look like this http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...erRanger19.jpg

Try to find the ones in best condition possible, if there are some there but not in the greatest condition (for example the clips that hold them snug to the bed are rusted) don't get them. Thanks.

Yeahh, when my father got it it was spotless, when he gave it to me.. well lets just say he used it for work XD. But because of all the salt up here it just started rusting. I want to get it done before it will cost too much. But it all is just small rust spots, nothing major, plus i'm getting it re painted and the dents pulled. I will do all the por-15 stuff myself.

Up buy the window, its starting to bubble up, my rocker panels have almost no paint left on the under sides of them, and they are starting to rust. There is clear coat flaking on the bed and there is rust around one of my bed bolts.. (I hate rust with a passion)

And i have heard it does quite well, and its kind of like ceramic? I saw a dude take a stab a dried cube of por-15 with a screwdriver repetitively, and there wasn't even a scratch on the stuff.

Ah yes, a needle scaler. Going to go to my local body shop today and see how much it is to get a few rust spots fixed on the body and repainted. The are supposed to be the best i the business.

How does the por-15 hold up?
