    here's my story sad but true. I had some front end word done. shocks, upper and lower ball joints. two weeks later, it hit 95 degrees and I turned on the air. Nothing from the vents. something from defrost on the windows. I went to the ranger forum, what's the problem? It's that darn blend door! O.K. so, i went about fixing that sucker.
    Cut into the bottom of my plastic which houses the blend door which is behind the glove compartment. this is after i bought a blend door which was only 14.00 or so. To make a long story short prior to cutting the hell out of the door that was in there to put the new one in. I hooked up the motor that runs the door and much to my surprise it worked fine. So now i knew this was not my problem. So what was my problem? Thanks to "FireRanger" It had to do with my vacuum lines that had been disconected by accident or on purpose. I won't give them the benefit of the doubt. So, I learned
